Ishmael Singo has been labelled as one of the most promising young artists on the Zimbabwean scene. His works depict the beauty of everyday life in Zimbabwe, capturing the true essence of the country in his various mediums.

He developed an interest in art at a young age and turned professional in 2002 when he enrolled at the Mzilikazi School of Arts. He was a resident artist at the Bulawayo gallery until 2009 when he moved to Harare.

Ishmael’s ability to work with mediums from charcoal to pastels, oils and more is a hallmark of his. He depicts life in Zimbabwe often with a little gentle humour thrown in.
